With legendary "The Beatles" concerts in Rome, Milan and Genova in june of 1965
the new world of musical sound in the air quickly takes root in italian
peninsula and therefore begin to create an infinite number of bands and
artists that they perform mostly covers of foreign songs with lyrics in
Italian but not with literal translation from original language but the
great fruit of italian lyricists imagination. This can not be considered a
rule because some artists played original owned songs like, for example, the
excellent "Atto Di Forza n.10" by "I Ragazzi Del
Sole" from Turin: a great jewel of pure sixties garage. These
bands and artists in a few years characterize the typical sound of golden
age of "Italian Beat" (1965-68). From this era there not remain many music
videoclips, color films comes mostly from movies while from TV italian
programs the recordings are always in black and white. Despite the
italianbeat time lasted only for a few years in this site we will expand
these time borders including the "Pre Beat" (before 1965) and the "Late
Beat" (until 1971). This filter decade (usually called "Beat Era") allows us
to include songs that they are always belong to our genre but they are in
different musical realities because the times have already changed
(Progressive Rock 1969-71) or the have yet to do (Twist, Shake,
Soul, Surf, Swing, Rock'n'Roll,
Yéyé, before 1965).

Con i leggendari concerti dei "The Beatles" a Roma, Milano e Genova nel giugno del
1965 il nuovo mondo del suono musicale nell'aria prende rapidamente radice
nella penisola italiana e pertanto iniziano a crearsi un infinito numero di
gruppi e artisti che principalmente suonano brani stranieri con testi in
italiano ma non con la letterale traduzione dalla lingua originale ma il
frutto della immaginazione di parolieri italiani. Questa non può essere
considerata una regola perchè alcuni artisti erano autori sia della musica
sia del testo come l'eccellente "Atto Di Forza n.10" dei "I Ragazzi Del
Sole" da Torino: un grande gioiello di puro garage anni sessanta.
Questi gruppi ed artisti in pochi anni caratterizzano il tipico suono
dell'età dell'oro del "Beat Italiano" (1965-68). Da questa epoca non ci
restano molti video clip musicali, i filmati a colori provengono
principalmente da sequenze cinematografiche mentre dai programmi TV italiani
le registrazioni sono sempre in bianco e nero. Nonostante il tempo del beat
durò solo per pochi anni in questo sito allargheremo questi confini
temporali includendo il "Pre Beat" (prima del 1965) ed il "Tardo Beat" (fino
al 1971). Questo filtro decennale (di solito chiamato "Era Beat") ci
consente di includere brani musicali che appartengono sempre al nostro
genere ma sono all'interno di realtà musicali differenti perchè i tempi sono
già cambiati (Rock Progressivo 1969-71) o devono ancora farlo (Twist,
Shake, Soul, Surf, Swing, Rock'n'Roll,
Yéyé prima del 1965).
